Nikki is the producer, editor and co-writer of The Wyrd Folk Podcast. She has a bachelors degree in English with Philosophy, a post graduate in Education and twenty years teaching experience in secondary schools, where she specialises in teaching English literature and Latin. She’s an alumni of the Jericho Writers Ultimate Novel Writing Course. Nikki first discovered British folktales as a child and she’s been hooked ever since. When not writing she can be found poking around ancient sites and daydreaming about potatoes.

Sam is inspired by the folklore she has encountered around the globe and her experiences as an outsider looking to find a place amongst the strange and unusual. She enjoys focusing on female-led coming-of-age stories, themed around family ties and self-discovery. When not chained to her laptop, you can find her exploring Iron Age ruins in the Cotswold hills, or digging through the shelves of London’s finest occult bookstores. Her current projects include developing a short film, podcast writing and screen writing. Sam’s debut novel Slueths will be published on 21st May 2026. Watch this space for more exciting updates!
